Letter from the CEO

Tomado’s reputation is built on three solid foundations: unrelenting hard work, an uncompromising sense of fair play, and an unwavering commitment to its business partners – its employees, suppliers, and customers. These three principles helped Tomado grow from a small family business into a full-line organization.

My father started selling exactly three types of equipment back in 1969: traditional coffee grinders, mechanical scales, and slicers. After the inauguration of a first showroom in 1972, the business grew rapidly, gaining distribution rights to many international brands. In 1996, a factory was added to manufacture customized stainless steel works, tables, sinks and refrigerators. In a few years, Tomado had become a well-known and respected name in its market.

This is the legacy my brother and I, with the dedicated help of the entire Tomado family, are now carrying forward. We know that it is not enough to be good at what we do, but strive to become the best. And that is a never-ending process.

That’s why, more than 40 years into this business, Tomado continues to evolve, to grow, and to be at the forefront of what the industry has to offer. Today the company counts a staff of 30 (with new members joining the team every year), carries about 40 internationally renowned brands from Italy, Spain, France, and the US and sources an eclectic assortment of equipment from about 20 other suppliers, and services rapidly growing exports into several African and European markets, all under the ISO 9001 stamp.

We have introduced a new product line: laundry equipment was recently added to our menu. We have also restructured the company to provide more autonomy to each product line, which now has a designated manager and a dedicated team to offer faster and more specialized service to our customers. To that end, we have recruited new staff, renovated our showrooms, and opened a new warehouse.

Tomado remains at the forefront of the industry by attending relevant international trade fairs to stay informed of the latest developments and innovations. We also participate in all the local and regional exhibitions to stay in close contact with our client base and our local business partners.

My father had a motto in life: never assume you’ve reached the top because to stay there, you have to keep beating your own record. And this is exactly what Tomado pledges to keep doing
